One hundred photographs.
No deadline.
The One Hundred is an evolving collection made across the South Carolina Lowcountry—at the boundary of water, land, and time.
The photographs follow working waterfronts, ruins, tidal landscapes, and quiet structures after ordinary function begins to fall away. Each image must survive comparison with everything already chosen. The work will be complete only when one hundred photographs have earned their place.

The collection is not assembled from assignments or a fixed shot list. It is found slowly—through repeated returns, changing tides, difficult weather, and the refusal to keep a photograph merely because it is good.
Twenty-four photographs admitted. The search continues.
03 / The artist
A. WEIDEMAN
A fine-art photographer working in the South Carolina Lowcountry.
A. Weideman photographs the tidal landscape, working waterfronts, weathered architecture, and traces of human presence found around Beaufort. Working in both monochrome and color, he uses geometry, darkness, weather, and absence to transform familiar places into psychological monuments.
